Steering Column Repair: Multifunction lever removal- 95 astro, multifunction switch, tilt wheel

I need to replace the broken multifunction lever on my 1995 AWD Astro's steering column. The switch is OK. I just need to get the lever out so I can replace it. Can you tell me how to get the lever out of the switch?
Switch=cruise/wiper-delay/hi-beam/turn signal
Also has Tilt Wheel

To remove the lever from the multifunction switch simply pull straight out on the lever. Sometimes they are tight so it might take a little strategic positioning of the hands to pull it with force, but not so much that you jerk the wires out of the cruise control switch. Sometimes you can turn the lever (the metal part) slightly back and forth in the hole and it will ease out.
