pete,i have a expo that has all the gears but i have to shift it myself into overdrive,sometimes i have it sometimes not,this just happen one day when it set over night i drove next day and found that i had it didn't have it.nothing is wrong with the tranmission as far as any thing else it is smooth in all my gears,i have been told major overhaul because your gears out completly,thats bull,my gears there.iam a lady also but iam bottled blonde not stupid,i grew up with car toys,i watched my 9 brothers father ,i buy my husband and son there tools on holidays,i know when to drive it when to get off the road,so there not going to tell me i have no gear.now someone says,the modurer thats in between my seats,under the shift,this is an automatic,someone told me its the tranmission selanod ok wheres this located?i have been quoted as much as $1.400.00 to $500.00,thats means someone out to really think i am a true blonde.i have had my car for about 3yrs and like i said this just started after sitting over night one day. HELP HELP this is 1.8 motor 1992 expo wagon i think they would call it

this is not a bad tranny . it is in the compuiter try this first take off the pos. cable and leave off for 5 min and hook it back up . see if it shofts in to overdrive . And by the way hun i like blonds and do not think they are stuiped pete

sorry it did not work then it should go to a tranny shop so they can reprogam it . with the diagnostic equip. they have . and i really mean i think blonds are really pretty and you have a pretty name to boot let me know how you do on this it also could be adj in leakeage or dm calble pete
