Steering Column Repair: steering and noise, ford explorer sport, stering

Hi! I am not sure what this problem is but, on my boyfriends 2001 ford explorer sport 4x4 the truck seams to jump over to the next lane if you hit a bump, then jump back into the lane we were just driving in. Ant idea of what the problem is?

also. #2 only when you turn right the wheel sqeals, does nit haapen when you are going left. front right passenger.

#3 seems like there is a clanky noise from the stering to the tires somewhere when you are driving.  thank you for any help if possible. judi and bill

this sounds like a bad pittiam are thet controlls the sterlaing .
would cause a noise in the colluim and make the car ump lanes with a bump . and will cause a clanky noise to .

get it checked asap . in a good shop . good luck to u hun and u have a pretty name pete
