Steering Column Repair: shaky steering wheel, mea culpa, steerling

Question
Hi there. I have a 1992 Honda Civic hatchback.
The steering shakes between 50-55 mph, but not at lower or higher speeds really.  After checking out my tires, it looks like there is some wear on the tread on the outer sides of the front pair (I possible take turns too fast).  It seems they might also be slightly warped, but the back wheels are okay.
A friend suggested that either the tires are bad, need alignment, or the steering column has problems.  The tires are about 3 1/2 years old.  I can't remember ever having them aligned (mea culpa).

On a side note, the car has always roamed to the right slightly, since I got the car, I am the original owner, but was too young and unaware to complain about it then.  I've had the car aligned over the years and the roaming to the right has still continued.

So those are my 2 problems.
Thanks for any help!

Answer
Hello susan

it could be tires are worn on the sides . or it could be a bad tie rod end this is in the front end . not the steerling colluim. Bring it to a shop who does front end allinets they will check the front end out before they do the allinet and get some new tires for the front . this will fix that shaky wheel . good luck to you hun and you have a pretty name pete
