Subaru Repair: 1998 Outback Sport clutch, impreza outback sport, manual transmission

Hello, I've got a 98 Impreza Outback Sport, manual transmission, with about 115,000.  Recently, when I accellerate hard, the clutch slips until I let off the gas a little.  This happens in all the gears except 1st, but mostly in 4th and 5th.  What's the problem?  What kind of fix does it require?  Thanks for your help.

Hi Kevin,

Your Clutch is slipping, and needs repair.  The 1998 O/B Sport still uses a cable that requires adjustment every 15k or so, but it may be to late.  

You will either have to take it in or try the adjustment your self.
