Subaru Repair: Fan belt squeling, fan belt, skill set

Hi the fan belt on my 2002 Legacy RX is aquealing when i switch on the AC, is it too tight or too loose and can i repair it myself.

Belts can squeal from becoming loose, cracking, or from a component starting to fail.

You can probably tighten the belt your self, but I have no idea your skill set or toolbox contents.

Have a look your self, if you are concerned a belt adjustment or replacement is not going to break the bank.
