Subaru Repair: Ticking noise when making turns, Subaru Cv Axle

Question
I have a Subaru Forester 2002 with 106,000 miles. About a month ago my forester started to make ticking noise when making a turn and usually left turns; Only do this after being parked for a while. Recent maintenance includes; 100,000 mile check up and new front brakes installed about 2 to 3 months ago. I had my mechanic take a look at it today. He tells me everything is fine.. sorry mechanical terminologies.. I am not familiar with. He did tell me that he took the front brake thingy and cleaned it because it appeared to, he used some terminology which I didn't understand what I understood was, it had something to do with the rust.

Still makes "ticking" noise. Also when making really sharp corners it makes clunking noise.. I had the rear struts replaced in January along with new tires.

The other mechanic thinks it might be CV Joint but my mechanic had it up, he should be able to see it right?  Please help.

Thank you in advance,

Meera,

A CV joint can make noise without any visual faults detected as it is covered with a CV boot.  The typical thing is the boot tears, leaks out the grease then the joint fails, but the joint can make noise and fail without the boot ripping this is usually the case with the rash of Chinese aftermarket axles that have flooded the market.

Rather than going to any ole Mechanic locally maybe seek out a Subaru Repair Expert. I just cant stress enough the advantages of taking your car to someone who specializes in one make and model
