Subaru Repair: Tacho on a Subaru RS 1990, inner fender, subaru rs

Just wondering if you can provide me with details on installing a external 5" monster tacho please..e.g wiring and stuff..where bouts etc...theres a green black and red wire.

I'm thinking you are talking about an RX for 1990?.Anyways if it is the 1.8l hook the green wire up to the negative side of the coil for a tach signal.The coil  will be on the drives side inner fender well. Black should be ground red should be positive. Hook the red up to a fused terminal that has power only when the key is on. If you are outside the U.S. than you may have something that i don't see too much of.
