Subaru Repair: Engine Stall, greg duggan, subaru dealer

Question
I changed the air filter on my 98 Subaru Forester. Now after a normal start the engine quits after a few seconds if left at idle . Also AT Temp light flashes. Engine ran perfectly before I changed air filter.

Answer
There is a vacum hose on the top lid of the airbox. take a close peek you will see it right away. Just reconnect it and you should be all set. as far as the a/t oil light goes you have a code pending in your ecm concerning the transmission and it would not be related in any way to the air filter. the a/t oil temp light is best left to your subaru dealer to diagnose. There may be a significant problem or you may have just tripped a sensor(alot of people get stuck in the mud/snow in the winter and set a code.) There is nothing i can do via the internet to alleviate that concern
Best of luck
