Suzuki Repair: Electrical Help, suzuki samurai, evening car

Question
I am the owner of a '88 Suzuki Samurai.  Still running stock engine, carb, alternator.  I have 2 questions.
1. - Last evening car ran great.  Twenty minutes later, I tried to start the car - nothing.
No lights on instrument panel, emergency flashers, start, nothing.  I proceeded to try to jump the vehicle off of two different sources.  Still nothing.
Could this be fuse related? - All contacts to battery looked complete.  It's very cold here, could temp. be factor?

2. - The second question is just a puzzling.
At random times, there is a beeping sound in the
car.  Almost like a smoke alarm, except a bit intermittent and not nearly as loud.  There is no mention of this in the owner's manual. Do you know what this is?  When sound occurs, there is nothing lit on instrument panel to indicate problem.

Thanks.

Answer
Hi,

To answer your first question have your battery load tested to see if the condition your battery is ok. If the temp. is cold and your battery is weak, the possibilty of battery freezing is great.

(2) The only beeping sound that I know of in the suzuki is the door ajar beep. possible cause is a shorting door ajar switch.

Thanks.
