Towing Issues: Is it legal for a tow driver to share information about wrecked vehicles?, tow truck driver, tow driver

I am in the data business and have been asked about collecting information on cars and trucks that have been involved in accidents. Accident reports are available to the public and the information can usually be be accessed from public records within a few weeks, or sooner after an accident. Is it legal for a tow truck driver to provide the year, make, model, owner's name and phone number for vehicles they are towing due to an accident? I am willing to pay for that information but am only interested in pursuing this if it is legal.
If you do not know, can you suggest where I should ask to find out?

I am not sure, but there are major privacy issues in what you are looking for and I know in Texas they have a ton of rules and regulations for tow companies and they would have answers...

Look up TDLR in Texas and see what they say or call them and ask...

But I doubt it is legal
