Towing Issues: Florida Tow Yards, inventory searches, wrecker services

Do you know if Orlando Tow Yards\Wrecker Services have standard policies to perform inventory searches on impound vehicles towed without an owner/driver present at the time from private property? Trunks checked, etc....

Well I would assume that they do a quick visual check of the vehicle for anything that is visible with out having to unlock the vehicle, open it up (great liability there if they get in it. There goes that bag of diamonds).

And to check in a trunk, well if that would mean either damaging or prying open the truck, I really doubt that would happen, then no to the trunk.

Now I know a lot of vehicles have inside truck releases and that might be a different story, but personally I would not be checking the vehicle at all until it gets down close to the date of lien sale just so that the owner can not say we stole something.
