Towing Issues: Towing, grand prairie tx, tow dolly

I have a 1997 Mercedes E420. I want to tow it from Grand Prairie, Tx to Tuscaloosa, Al. Is it safe to tow with front wheels up and rear on the road? Or should I back the vehicle on with front wheels on road. Are have vehicle transported off the ground completely.

Well this is one of those questions which I tend to avoid answering as there are tons of factors in it.
But I have to say that all 4 wheels off the ground is best, then the second best is to have the drive wheels off the ground. That would be loading it backwards on the tow dolly.
