Towing Issues: Question of Legality, domino s pizza, tow trucks

Question
I live in Bloomington, Indiana.  kMy friend Nathan parked his car in our lot, then ran inside to grab his computer so he could go home.  When he walked back outside, no more than 6-8 minutes later, his car had been towed.  As I'm assuming 6-8 minutes is about the minimum amount of time it takes to load a car onto a tow truck and get it out of sight, I'm led to believe that the towing company was camping out and waiting for someone to break the law so that they could jump in and tow it.  What if he had been pizza delivery?  Would they still have towed the car?  This seem ridiculous to me.

Answer
well this does not look like there is a real question in here.

First of all, some tow trucks only require the time it would take to shift from reverse to drive as the time it takes to grab and lift a vehicle and then move it out of the space and down the street.

As to waiting for people to park illegally, I doubt that they were just sitting there on the chance of someone parking illegally. They might of been called for another vehicle, or something like that and they happened to find your friends vehicle.
And in some places, tow trucks do cruise parking lots, as long as they have a contract to do so, and will tow vehicles which are illegally parked,

Now depending on how much the property owner - management wants to enforce the laws - rules, vehicles can be towed right away if they want to, for any kind of reasons which are spelled out in either city, county or state laws or the property owners guidelines. If they say no blue cars on Tuesday then if you have a blue car, it will be towed on Tuesday.

Delivery vehicles will be towed at times also, even though some of them are known to be quick visits to the property.
The funny thing about vehicles, is that lets say the vehicle says "FED EX" on it. Then people know that it is delivering something and should be gone in just a minute or two.
If it says "Domino's Pizza" on it, then the same applies.

But for your friend to park his vehicle in the lot illegally, well it has nothing on it to say if he is doing deliveries, if it is broke down right there, or he just parked it there because it is 4 steps closer to the door then a regular parking space.

Over the years, I have towed many professional football and basketball players in the Seattle area when I worked up there, and they all tried the comments "do you know who I am?" to which I replied "Yes I have seen you on TV before, but lets go outside and look at your car. Because I want you to show me where on the outside of it, there is something which will tell me that you are who you say you are, and that this vehicle has special privileges just like a police car or fire truck would have when it comes to parking illegally"

Never had to open the door and have them show me !!!
