Towing Issues: Towing Laws, wicomico county maryland, speed limit signs

Question
My daughter had her car towed from a private community in Wicomico County Maryland that prohibits on-street parking.  She maintains that there were no posted warning signs in the area.  A towing company has her vehicle and told her that it will cost her $150 for the tow and $50 for each day they have it.  The car was towed on a Friday night and the towing company is closed on weekends and Monday is a Holiday.  Can they charge her storage for the three days even though they were not open for business?  Is it legal to tow a vehicle without giving warning?

Answer
well first of all there might be signs at the entrance to the community which state that on street parking is prohibited. That is usually enough of a warning notice to comply with the laws of notification.

But then again I am not there and it would be normal for a "HOA" (Home Owners Association) private community to not allow on street parking. That is very common in a lot of them.

Now as to the costs, it sounds about right for the charges and yes the vehicle will be charged storage for the days that it is in the storage yard. But there are at times a "Gate fee" or "after hours release fee"  which can be done to get your vehicle back after hours.
In some cases it is cheaper than the storage and in others it is more expensive to do. Not sure what this would be, but if they do not want to release it till Tuesday, sounds like it would of been cheaper to get it then than after the "closed days"

As to giving warning, you would have to check all over the complex and see if there are signs up in other places. Remember sometimes sighs get damaged or destroyed.
That or you just did not see them due to the spacing of them.

Remember that speed limit signs are not every 10 feet, sometimes they are miles apart. Does that mean you are to speed where there are no signs and do the limit where the sign is visible ?
