Towing Issues: truck towed, tow truck company, mobile home park

i went in my house for a few minutes to drop something off ...and a fire lane is in front of my house ....i live in a mobile home park ....i was on my way to my truck down my driveway..and the tow truck was  just backing in to my truck to tow away...instead of just getting in my truck i confronted the tow truck driver to tell him i was leaving....instead i should of just drove it away and said nothing ..then he just kept hooking up my truck....i was told i had to pay a $100  drop fee ...and i did so...should of the tow truck driver just said ok your leaving and be done with it? what if any rights do i have regaurding the tow truck company towing my truck???

If you were parked illegally then there is not much you can do about it. The wrecker service is entitled to charge a fee if they dispatch a truck to a call. Most times it is only if they already have the vehicle hooked up, but all towing companies charge something just for having to send out the wrecker. The only option you have is to find out who called the wrecker and to try to determine if the wrecker service was patrolling, this may turn out to be "predatory towing".
