Towing Issues: Towing a 1990 Jeep Wrangler, jeep wrangler, tow dolly

Question
Help!  I am very confused as to the best way to tow a Jeep Wrangler.  Several sites have advised against using a tow dolly and recommended a tow bar, others have done the opposite.  I will be towing a long distance, and want to be sure I tow correctly and without damage.  Can I use a tow dolly?  If so, is there anything I need to do to prep the Jeep beyond putting it into neutral once it is on the dolly and ready to go?

Answer
I believe your year Wrangler (if 4wd) has a transfer case that can be manually shifted into neutral which can be flat towed (4 wheels on ground) without damage. I suggest referring to the owner's manual for proper procedures for flat towing. Another option is disconnecting the driveshafts which is a quick and easy solution. Good luck.
