Towing Issues: police involvement in parking lot tow, police involvement, disorderly conduct

My vehicle was in the process of being towed and I stopped the tow guy and sat in my vehicle. The tow truck guy called the police and the policeman forced me to get out of my car by threatening to arrest me if i didn't leave my vehicle.

My question is "Was i breaking any laws by sitting in my vehicle?" This very thing happened to me in baltimore city and the police officer said he didn't get involved in towing issues and encouraged me to pay a drop fee but didn't threaten to arrest me for not leaving my vehicle.

It really depends on the situation and many factors are involved. In other words it's not a yes or no answer. If the police were threating to arrest you I would think it would be a matter of disorderly conduct. Then again more information is required.
