Towing Issues: towing in ct, tow fees, tow companies

Question
now i live in an apartment and my car was towed because it appeared to be unregistered... its fully legal as im pursuing my cdl and don't need any "issues". is that a legal reason to tow my everyday driver? i have the proper stickers in the window and the driver claimed to not see it? my old town was required to notify the local police that they were towing a vehicle. now there was a car 3 cars from mine missing a fender and it was much easier to get to yet mine was taken? the parking here is over 90% full and you have to pretty much fight for a spot and management knows this. am i gonna have problems for the next yr or was a mistake made?

Answer
I guess I don't understand the questions correctly, "appeared to be unregistered". I would say this is more of a yes or no question, it is or isn't. Also, " i have the proper stickers in the window and the driver claimed to not see it?". What exactly couldn't be seen, a parking permit? If this is the case it's the vehicle owner's responsibility for the parking permit to be in the approved location with easy visibility. To my knowledge all tow companies must report private property non consent tows to the local or state police. As for problems with a CDL or driving record there shouldn't be any if the tow fees were paid and the vehicle was claimed. Hope this answered some of your questions.
