Towing Issues: Damaged Car From Repo, damaged car, finance company

My car was repo'd last month and when I picked it up they made me sign a paper stating I have inspected my car and report no damage. I informed her I need to see my car first before I sign it and they informed me I could not see my car until I sign their form. I signed the form and then found the damage when they brought me the car. I reported the damage to her and even had a police officer come and filed a report. I get a call today and they say on the tow report they listed that the damage was already there. How do I prove it wasn't already there? What steps should I now take to get my vehicle fixed? I live in the state of Texas.

What type of damage was done? The paper you signed, did it have any type of condition report and were you given a copy? The finance company should have gotten a copy of a condition report right after the vehicle was repossessed. You can contact them and advise them of the situation and ask that they provide you with a copy of the condition report. How long was it before you picked the vehicle up?
