Towing Issues: Car has been towed from my parking spot, parking spaces, gentleman

Question
I am renting a parking spot from a Real Estate Company. There were two parking spaces which are one in front and on in the back, so the rule is first coming first in,and the one who parks inside will give a call to the one who park outside to move the car or give the key to move the car.

I parked my car outside the other night, and the situation was that I blocked him, and I didn't know he didn't have my phone #, since I have his, so I assume he has mine, then I didn't leave any notes or call him. The second night when I went back from home, my car has been towed by the person who shared the spot with me.

I called Real Estate Company and the guy who shares the parking spot with me, both of them denied to take the responsibility of that, and has no willness to pay me back.

In such a situation, should I take all the responsibility? and no way to get the money back?

Thanks for your help!

Answer
Oh this sounds like a recipe for disaster...

I have no real solid answer how to handle this, as it appears that there is a "HUGE GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENT" here and that will be hard to fight.

Unfortunately this sounds like one of those expensive life lessons, and I have no idea how to suggest solving it or going about getting some of the money back.

Sorry for not having an answer, but this question is a new one for me.
