Towing Issues: stolen goods, name brand athletic shoes, unopened boxes

DUE TO A MISUNDERSTANDING WITH MY HUSBANDS CO SIGNER OF HIS CHEVY 2008 IT WAS TOWED AND REPOSSED BY THE BANK FORM OUR HOUSE. MY HUSBAND IS SELF EMPLOYEED HIS BUSINESS SALES CLOTHING , JORDANS,NIKES ETC. AT WHOLE SALE PRICES.INSIDE THE CAR 2 UNOPENED BOXES OF NAME BRAND ATHLETIC SHOES, IN THE TRUNK NEARLY 45 PAIRS. THE TOWER TOLD MY BROTHER IN LAW BEFORE HE WAS GOING TO TOW THE CAR IF HE'D LIKE TO GET ANYTHING OUT , BUT UNFORTUNATELY NEITHER ONE HAD THE KEYS TO THE CAR. ON THE DAY WE CAME TO PICK UP THE CAR THE ENTIRE TRUNK WAS STRIPPED OF ALL THE MERCHANDISE, INSIDE THE CAR BOTH BOXES GONE!!! EVERYTHING LOOKED LIKE A THEIF WAS RAMBLING TO FIND MORE, SOOOOOOOO ANGRY, EVERYONES STORY ISNT MATCHING AND WE NEED SOME ADVICE, PLEASE THE VALUE OF THE MERCHANDISE WAS 3,500 ATLEASE , EACH JORDAN IS ABOUT $100 AND NIKES $80 SO I NEED SOME LEGAL OR JUST SOME ADVICE,

My best advise is "LAWYER UP"


Sorry but that is what is needed to help resolve this issue...  There are a bunch of issues here and depending on what state you are in, certain laws apply regarding your rights and such.

And the property is protected in some states and not in others.
