Towing Issues: tow lights, computer meltdown, side marker

I own a tow company in Boston,Ma since 2004 and just opened a second location in Florida some states you are not required to use tow lights on a wrecker is Florida one of them.

Bryan, it really boils down to how much $$$ you have in order to not use tow lights which are required by federal law.  The DOT requires that any "towed vehicle" be it a trailer, or car have lights which indicate brake, tail lights, turn signals and if it is a big truck then it requires side marker lights and the 3 DOT - ICC marker lights.

Yes Florida requires tow lights but like a lot of other laws they do not enforce it all the time, but believe me that the ticket is not worth the headache of not using the lights.
