Towing Issues: buying vehicle from towing company, storage lien, towing company

i'v found a wrecked 2007 highlander for sale ($3400) at a local towing company here in tn, it was wrecked and they towed it in, it has been in storage for 16 months, they say they have all the paper work done so i can get a clean clear title, i just need to take it all to the local dmv if i buy it, so my question is if there a prior lien on it could i get a title like they say?? will they're storage lien over come another lien???

if the vehicles "LIEN" has been processed correctly and the state has or will issue a title for the vehicle without it being "stamped salvage or destroy" then it should be good to go.

As a rule, the state lien process does create a "NEW TITLE" free and clear of any previous liens to the vehicle.
