Towing Issues: towing- handicap, handicap spot, towing company

can a towing company pick up a vehicle from a handicap spot if it displays an expired handicap tag? i thought they had to give a 24-48 hour notice.

Well expired means that it is "NO LONGER LEGAL" to use that space according to many laws...

And towing laws vary between cities and states so I can not really tell you if there are requirements on notices or not.

But the handicapped space does have a sign, the symbol and something on there says you can be towed. That will generally be the warning in a lot of cases.
