Towing Issues: tow package, chrysler ltd, transmission coolers

Hello
I am in the process of selecting another Chrysler Ltd mini-van - my current one has the tow package with all the heavy duty "stuff" - I don't really tow anything - I got it for the heavy duty "stuff" - does the extra "stuff" really help in the overall function of the vehicle and longetivity of the engine or transmission or is it only a benefit if I tow?

This is not really my expertise area, but the "heavy duty tow package" will have additional transmission coolers and maybe a larger engine cooling fan...

As to a plus, well this might keep the temperatures down on vital stuff at times if you are not towing.
