Towing Issues: towing jurisdiction, legal concern, towing companies

QUESTION: I'm not sure if this would be considered a legal concern, but based on your towing company experience I thought you might be able to easily answer this. If a parking ticket is issued in Philadelphia but you live over an hour outside of the City limits, do you know whether the towing companies can legally tow the car back to Philadelphia?

ANSWER: No but your license can be suspended and other penalties can apply

I would find it hard to believe the city of Philly would travel 45 minutes outside the city limits in which the parking ticket was issued to tow your vehicle. I do believe it would be much easier for the city to pass this violation or monies owed to the state and suspend your license or place a hold on renewing the vehicle registration. My suggestion is paying the violation before finding out the hard way what can happen.
