Towing Issues: towing rear wheel drive vehicle, tow dolly, rear wheel drive

Question
Is it safe to tow a rear wheel drive vehicle backwards, the rear wheels on a tow dolly? Is there a stablizer bar
to keep the front wheels on the ground from turning?

Answer
This is out of my area of expertise to an extent since its an RV issue, but yes you can tow the vehicle backwards, provided that you secure the steering wheel in a straight ahead position.  Do not rely on the steering lock from when you take the key out of the ignition.

You can use a small rope, a ratchet strap or sometimes the seatbelt to secure the wheel in a "locked straight ahead" position...

There are many ways to do it and it's real hard to explain it...
