how many hours can a tow truck driver work before he has a day off i have a friend that works for a towing company and works for day with no sleep without a day off that sound wrong and unsafe too me please help my friend

Well this loaded question is one which I will have a hard time answering as it depends on a few factors...

First of all does the driver have a regular license or does he have a Commercial Drivers License.

What is the weight rating of the tow truck he drives as that can affect the answer also...

There are state laws, Federal laws, Department of Transportation laws, which all can affect this issue of hours working.

But since I am guessing on what you are trying to find out, there really is not one solid answer I can provide which will  supply what you are looking for...

It does sound like he drives a light duty tow truck and maybe works for a tow company that does lots of motor club calls.  Most of those companies are very busy and very short handed...
