Towing Issues: lein sale statue, sacremento california, california dmv

I have a vehicle in my impound facility in fort worth texas we picked it up in mansfield at the request of the mansfield police department. but my problem is the vehicle is from sacremento california so when i cant send a certified letter cause i cant get the owner or lien holders information. so i sent documents to the department of motor vehicles in california explaining my promlem and asking for the information i need to get these certified letters sent. but they sent my papers back and with a letter of their own stating request has insufficient information. Please write your out of state lien sale statue and i dont know what that is

I would suggest that you check with the Texas Tow association and see what they suggest as to filing the lien papers. I know that the rules have changed in the recent past in Texas regarding towing and storage.

Also it might be worth calling the California DMV office and asking them what they suggest to do to obtain the owner - lien holder information. I do know that California really protects the owner information.

As I am in Alabama I am not sure of the rules regarding lien processes in other states.   Sorry for not having the information
