Towing Issues: SAVE MY SOUL, rental car company, tow company

I had rented a car from texas and was heading to florida, got pulled over in Alabama, had my car towed, went to jail. Now my credit card has been charged with $3,989.77 since it was returned a month later.SAVE MY SOUL!!!

As with many rentals you are responsible for all and any related cost for the vehicle. With that said, with that amount it sounds as the rental car company paid the towing and storage, transportation back to the home state and charged you the rental fee. As for when the tow company notified the rental car company, your lawyer can try to dispute some of the daily rental charge for the vehicle. The arguments are: you were no longer responsible for the rental charge once the tow company notified the rental car company, why did the tow company wait so long before notifying the owner/car rental, or if the tow company did notify in a timely/required manner, why did the car rental company let the car sit in storage so long? Now you have to decide if it is worth the legal expense. Good luck
