Towing Issues: towing a vecheal, cj7 jeep, driveshafts

i have a 1982 cj7 jeep with auto transmission. can i pull it behind my motor home with out a trailer or dolly,and if i can is there a procedure to do so. i plan to pull it from California to Nevada and back.                                                                    thanks

Going that far I suggest pulling the driveshafts. Some may say putting the transfer case in neutral with the transmission in park but, in my opinion, feel disconnecting the driveshafts are the best option. Less wear and tear on the t-case and no spinning shafts.
