Towing Issues: my car was towed, apartment manager, formal documentation

Question
I live in Madison Park condominiums in Madison,TN.My landlord owns the condo I live in but most of the condos are owned by the property manager.I have lived here for about 3 months and the lady across from me usually parks in my spot which is 60 so I always park right next to it in 52.So,I go to leave for work and my car is gone.Later after many phone calls,I find out that the property manager had it towed because it was in 52 instead of 60.I have lost my job because of this, had to take out a loan to get my car out,and all this has just put me in a terrible bind. Was this legal? Is there anything I can do?I tried to talk to the apartment manager and explain all this and even told him that I have 2 toddlers and he laughed and hung up on me.

Answer
As for management laughing and hanging up is definitely not  professional and was uncalled for! I suggest contacting their boss and file a compliant. The problem is this issue should have been brought to the attention of your neighbor way before your vehicle was towed. It's after the fact now and what done is done and you are stuck with the expenses. There is really no real legal action that can be done without formal documentation, complaints or photographs on the violations.
