Towing Issues: 95 Ford Taurus Station Wagon, ford station wagon, car dolly

Tell me please, What is the towing capacity of a 95 Ford station wagon with a V/6 engine? Could I tow a 3,000 pound vehicle on a car dolly with it? Also, is this vehicle front or rear wheel drive?

Since I don't know exactly the vehicle options and weights your answer will be very generic. It all comes down to could or should. I would not suggest or recommend towing another vehicle on a tow dolly behind your wagon, PERIOD. Depending on the total weight of the wagon with everything factored I'm sure the tow rating or total capacity will be around 1500 pounds and less. This also depends on vehicle options, there were a few different v-6's offered which could bring the rating down further.  These vehicles were not designed for towing which is why there isn't much information on tow ratings. Plenty of companies will sell hitches designed or altered to fit your vehicle but they are in the business to sell or offer products. Most don't care if it is safe or not. I have seen too many wrecks involving trailers. Be safe and arrive alive.
