Towing Issues: car was towed, rental contract, signs

I'm from san diego and my car was towed early this morning around 1am my apt bldg has signs implicating tow away procedures. if all signs pretty much say the same thing than the sign reads unauthorized vehicles will be towed at owners expense and permit required. i am authorized given that i live there and also i have a permit but it wasn't displayed. the sign doesn't say it had to be displayed. is my claim court worthy who should i sue?

Hi Jenn, If the tower couldn't see or verify the permit how would the tower know if your vehicle was authorized to be there. It's hard to prove your case after the fact, you admitted it wasn't properly displayed. The rules and regulations in the rental contract or parking procedures, I'm sure there is a mention of properly displayed permits. In my opinion, I don't think a judge would rule in your favor.
