Question
QUESTION: can you tell me the legnth an enclosed trailer should be that is hauling 2 cars? i was informed that there should be 4 feet infront of 1st vehilcle in and 4ft in rear of last vehicle.

ANSWER: That would make a bit of sense as you need room to secure the vehicles inside the trailer.   But as to "specific trailer length, that would depend on vehicle size, weight and such...

QUESTION: is it best to strap cars down by the frame or use those speacial straps i see on the tires themselves? i was also told that if you strap to frame that you must tighten strap so that it removes some of the bounce from the shocks,  then again some have told me that the car will "bottom out" if you secure it that way.  in your opinion what is a better method of securing the car...

Answer
Each method has its own advantages, securing via the frame is good if you can find things to hook to at times.

Securing via the wheels, well that is recommended on some vehicles, but you do also risk cutting straps or rubbing wheels... That is if you run the strap though the wheel rim.

Straps that go over the tires are great, but you have to watch that any part of the strap or ratchet does not touch the vehicle body..

There are dozens of methods it seems and each one will have to be used for that vehicle which is the best and reduces the chances of damage..

I would suggest that you do some research on what vehicles you are going to be transporting and see what they recommend.
