Towing Issues: abanded vehicle, tow dolly, storage fees

Question
aurora Colorado If a vehicle is left on the side of the road and has been tagged by the police to be moved can anyone tow it and hold it for storage fees. By anyone I mean a private individual providing by state law that they try to contact the owner within 10 days afrer towing?

Answer
Let me get this question right in my mind...

You see vehicles parked on the side of the roads which have been tagged by the police and  you want to know if you as a private citizen can tow them off using a tow dolly or what ever ?

If this is what you are asking, then I hate to tell you but it would amount to GRAND THEFT AUTO...  Police ordered tows for abandoned vehicles are controlled in who can do them, where they go, what charges are allows, notification procedures and all that is just a start...

If you really want to tow abandoned vehicles, which in better than 50% of the time do not get picked up, you should start up a towing business to go broke with quick if that is all that you want to do...

Just doing the notifications, mailing the letters (certified) paying for the records from the State all cost money...

I really do not think it would be a good idea to try this and I suggest that you do not consider it....

THAT IS THE BEST ADVISE I GOT FOR THIS QUESTION
