Towing Issues: towed car, storage yards, tow companies

Basically my apartment complex had an old unworking car towed away. I don't want to the car anymore. do you know what the law in Texas is, in regards to not paying the impound.

Well another interesting question here, as Texas has a new set of laws governing tow companies, towing from private property,  licensing of tow companies, drivers and storage yards... It is supposed to take effect September 1 2008


I have been studying it for a few days and its a huge change as I see it... About 200 pages of stuff which involves other laws and departments also...

But as I see it you as the vehicle owner are responsible for towing and storage fees.. Yes they notify you and there are some changes in the laws which deal with the age of the vehicle and the value of it...

IF you leave it there, I do not see any law that says they can not sue you in court or turn you into collections, but then again I do not see one which says they can either.
