Towing Issues: towing a all wheel drive pacifica, wheel drive vehicles, all wheel drive vehicles

will towing an all wheel drive pacifica (2007) on a tow bar damage the pacifica, after having it towed with a tow bar it will not reverse but will drive forward with no problem, the wheels did not lock up while it was being towed we thought it was in two wheel drive mode

While RV towing issues are not my area of expertise, I checked the website below and it does not list the vehicle in question at all...

Unfortunately that kind of means as I see it that it is not towable all wheels down...

To me as a general rule, I would treat all wheel drive vehicles as untowable and suggest they be trailered for safety and to prevent damage from happening. But that is just me talking here.

From what you described it does sound as if it has transmission damage now.. Sorry to bear the bad news..
