Towing Issues: 05 Chevy Colorado, Tow capacity, axle ratios, chevy colorado

Is there anyway to raise the towing capacity of my 05 Colorado? It is RWD extended cab, 2.8l in-line 5.

well towing capacity is figured by the vehicle maker utilizing several factors... Tires, axles, axle ratios, brakes, transmission, vehicle weight are all things which factor into the capacity..

BUT as far as I know there are no real things that can change the towing capacity that you can do that would make much of a difference.
