Towing Issues: Towing 91 Toyota 4X4 Pickup, toyota 4x4 pickup, driveline

Question
I have everything set up on my '91 Toyota 4X4 pickup. It has a manual transmission. The owners manual suggests not going over 35 mph or 50 miles for flat towing. I know I need to disconnect the rear driveline for safe towing. Do I also need to disconnect the front driveline or are there specific transmission and transfer case positions that will allow me to leave it connected?

Answer
Well sounds like you have done some research into this subject...

One thing to consider is if the truck has front locking hubs on the vehicle...If so then if they are locked into "FREE" then you would not worry about the front axles and driveline.. But if it does not have them it might be needed to do that....

Big question I have is what are the reasons for towing it...  And what about using a trailer so you do not have to remove and reinstall drivelines...
