Towing Issues: towing my car from my home, low profile tires, tow truck drivers

Question
Hello what I want to know is , if my car has a flat tire , and it's home in the parking lot of my apartments in front my door, do they have a right to tow my car from in front my door, I mean come on any body can get a flat tire all my tags are good, the car only been sitting for over night and my car was towed and mind you this has happened before.

Answer
Well, in the interest of being safe you know that the apartment complex has rules regarding vehicle conditions such as licensed and operative..  Yes a flat tire makes it inoperative but if it is truly just overnight then it seems like the towing company is a bit aggressive..

Now if that tire also has a slow leak and is low or flat on a regular basis then it might look justified.  Another problem is the trend of having the low profile tires,  Some of the big show off tires really do look flat all the time.

Now if they have towed it before for this reason I think you really need to be careful and make sure that the tires are inflated fully..
I know it seems nitpicking but a low tire can be reason to tow in the eyes of some tow truck drivers.. Some of them work on commission and the more they tow the more they make ...  That is a fact of life (yes I work on commission also but only tow big trucks)

Check with the apartment manager and see what can be done for this issue, that would help a lot or at least key you in on what they are looking for as far as violations.
