Towing Issues: my car was towed illegally, apt management, parking stickers

Question
i live in a large apartment complex with more than 100 units.  i went out of town for the weekend to find my vehicle towed away on saturday.

when i asked why my vehicle was towed to the apt management company, they dont know why. they just say to talk to the towing company.

according to the towing company, they towed the vehicle b/c they have an agreement with the apartment management company to tow cars without parking sticker.  but i never gotten the parking stickers from the apt management company when i moved in 2 months ago. however, i have completed and submitted their resident vehicle data sheet.

can you tell me the best way to approach this matter. is the towing company trying to pull an illegal move? thanks for info.

Answer
well it sounds like the apartment management might of dropped the ball by not getting you a permit..

BUT also the 2 months that you lived there before it was towed is also a concern...

Sounds like the management decided to start having the tow company remove vehicles without permits recently and they got what they expected.. Cars towed but it would also show that they did make some mistakes...

I do not think the towing company did something illegal (but depending on the state you are in, there are lots of rules to comply with) but they seemed to do what they were contracted to do...
