Towing Issues: Towing with 1990 dakota, tow capacity, camper

Question
I AM BUYING A 30FT CAMPER I HAVE A 1990 V6 DAKOTA 2 WHEEL DRIVE I ONLY DO LOCAL CAMPING CAN I PULL THIS CAMPER THE TRUCK DOES NOT MEAN TO MUCH TO ME SO BESIDES THE TRANNY BLOWING CAN IT BE DONE

Answer
Edmunds.com lists the tow capacity of a V6 sport dakota as 4600 pounds.  Since you don't list the weight of the trailer there is no way to tell if the truck will do the job.  The load limit assumes proper equipment and a vehicle in good condition.

I am very worried that you don't care if the truck breaks down while towing.  An engine or tranny failure could lead to a bad wreck, and if the rest of the truck is also ready to go, then I would not recommend towing anything till you go through the vehicle and make it safe.

If you don't care about the truck, at least care about yourself, your possible passengers and others on the highway with you.
