Towing Issues: trailering advice, semi tractor trailer, gmc pickup

Hi Richard,
I have a 2004 GMC pkup,4.8 L,auto,4x4,long bed.
Owners manual states about 8k lbs max tow .
My truck does not have any trailering package. can you
recommend what i need to pull something in the 56k range?

come on, that's got to be a mistake..

56,000 pounds  and you want to use a 2004 GMC Pickup ???
I think you are asking to pull 5,600 pounds instead..

Heck  56 K  that is hard to pull with a Peterbilt (or any other semi) tractor..

Trailer questions are not really my speciality, so I am going to say ask Don the other expert this question after you get the numbers right...
