Towing Issues: Towing question on lights, dodge durango, camper trailer

I own a 2001 dodge durango and it didn't come with the towing package, i am tring to find out where you find the hook up for the lights in the back to place a plug for my camper lights can you help me please

any decent U-haul store will have all the stuff you need, or any good camper/trailer store.

Chances are you can find it on E-bay, but shop around, you can pay too much there as easy as get a bargain.

If it didn't come wired for trailer lights (look for a tied off wire bundle near the rear bumper) then you can put a jumper in one of the wire plugs on the back.  Just unplug the right connector near the bumper and put in the accessory with all the trailer wires already hooked up.

Add a plug and you are ready to go.

Here is one site, but I think it gives you just a 4-way plug.  You can make do with that, but if you have backup lights or interior lights you want to hook up, you need a 6 or 7 way connector.

Again check with U-haul or a trailer supply place in your area to see if you can do better.
