Towing Issues: Trailer Wiring, trailer wiring diagram, wiring connector

Question
Not sure if I'm in the right place, but hopefully, you'll be able to point me to the right answer!

I just got an older camper (Sprite-Alpine). It has a round 7 pin wiring connector, but it is obviously shot. My vehicle has the standard 4 flat plug.

I need to know how to convert the trailers seven wires down to four so it all works. The wires are the trailer are green, yellow, brown, white, blue, black, and red.

The trailer itself has an internal battery for the 12v stuff, and I think some of those seven wires are to provide charging to that battery/12v system.

So basically I want to be able to plug the trailer into the 4 flat on my truck and have everything work as it should.

I have a 4 flat harness to put on the trailer, I just need to know what to do with the blue, black and red wires.

Thanks!
Scott

Answer
The wires on your four connector flat plug are:
Ground, Left turn, right turn, and tail lights/running lights.

The 7 pin connector adds brake power, 12v power to charge the battery probably and maybe another 12v power for accessories.

Here is an excellent page I found that should be of great help:
