Towing Issues: car towed from apt complex, small claims court, expired plates

Question
My bf who lives in the apt complex had his bronco parked in a visitor parking lot because we have 2 cars and was told to do this. his plates had expired and he was waiting to go thru DEQ. Someone towed the truck. The apartment complex says it wasn't them ....if we find out it was...can we tkae legal action or reimbursed once we find where the bronco is!!

Answer
Well, people who live in the complex are termed "residents" not visitors.. This might be the key on that part. Also the expired plates are big flags that say "ILLEGAL VEHICLE"..

Now if the apartment did not have it towed by calling for the towing company to do it, they might have a contract which allows for the towing service to " PATROL " and look for violators... This could of happened and the management might not know that it was towed..

Or worst case is that the vehicle was stolen.

Best bet is to call the police and see if its been towed, in lots of areas towing companies are required to call in the information.

Now as to legal action, its always an option to go the small claims court route if you really feel wronged by this.

I hope you can find the vehicle and what really happened to it and why its gone.
