-----Question-----
im wandering if this is possible im looking at a jayco17 export camper i have a 99 jeep cherokee sport would it handle it the jeep has a trans cooler the camper weighs 3500 gvwr the jeep also has an extra set of leafsprings on it
-----Answer-----
The Jeep sport has a maximum towing capacity of 2000 pounds, either 2WD or 4WD, 2 or 4 door.  (it helps to give information like engine, transmission options, etc when asking this type of question).

So the answer would be no, for any length of time/miles, it would not be a good idea to go that far over the load rating.

Of course, you can take your chances and tow it anyway, and a transmission cooler is highly recommended in any case, but  you could run into trouble, and if the suspension isn't up to it, it could be dangerous.  So I would recommend trading for a vehicle that has higher towing capacity.  You will be much happier and safer in the long run.

Don          the engine is the 4.0 and the tranny is the overdrive trans and its a 4x4 converter was worked on and there is a trany cooler does that make a difference?

Answer
According to the Edmunds site, the options you mention would not effect towing capacity.  A trans cooler helps any transmission that is stressed live longer, but really has nothing to do with capacity.  That is more the internal strength of certain parts, along with suspension and frame capacity.

When towing, you would probably want to stay out of overdrive, but check your owners manual and with the dealer to be sure.
