Towing Issues: Towing Codes/Laws in Los Angeles, tow truck driver, california code

I read or heard somewhere that by California code a tow truck driver is mandated to release/unhook a car in process of being towed if the owner shows up before the tow truck has left the sight. What Law or Code number is this?

Read my blog on California Towing Laws at sftow.blogspot.com and you will find your answers. The last I checked Los Angeles was still part of California. Los Angeles has a code similar to those of San Francisco. You will find them in the Los Angeles Municipal Code
